Permission Question

How can I allow guest just to see the thumbnails of the images but not the full size image.
I tried many ways through permissions but there are only 2 way
1. You have to allow your guests to see the original picture
2. you have to close everything for guests.

Is there a way to pass this ?

Or there's a hack posted somewhere, but RC3 *should* be out tonight or tomorrow.
