Add .zip files to gallery?

Is there a hack that allows uploading of .zip file extensions, maybe with a default icon to represent them? This would really make the gallery more useful for me.

You should already be able to upload zip files if you add the extension in the 'Edit Filetypes' section.

How are you going to have a screenshot of a zip file?

Ok, that's working fine, thanks. But how can I get it to use a default thumbnail for all zips? Right now all I get is the 'X' in the middle of the square and no option to upload a thumbnail.

You need to add an image called file_zip.gif to your /gallery/images folder.
