Re: where do i upload pics in quantity?

Assuming that your userid is 5, you want "/gallery/upload/5" .... "/gallery/files/5" is where they go after they're uploaded.

What value did you enter in ACP --> vBa Gallery --> Modify Settings --> FTP User Folder Path?

/usr/home/rob/html/420times/gallery/uploads
The value in this case should be the last one (/usr/home/rob/html/420times/gallery/uploads). CHMOD the permissions on that folder to be 777. Then go into that directory and make a folder named "5" (assuming that is your userid). Then, if you haven't already, go into ACP --> vBa Gallery --> Usergroup Permissions --> {choose your usergroup} --> Uploading Options turn on "Can upload images directly from server" to yes. Now upload your files to ../uploads/5 and go back to your gallery.

When you go to the upload screen scroll to the very bottom of the page; there'll be an option to upload directly from the server.

You will then need to create a new folder under your '/gallery/users' directory and name it according to that user's userid (so if the user's userid was 5, you would simple create a new folder called 5 under your '/gallery/users' directory.
Lastly, you will need to create a new FTP account on your server for that user and make sure they have access to the newly created folder to upload their files to.

Re: where do i upload pics in quantity?

I did a mass upload of 70 pics and routed the images in their respective cateogries 0 everything worked perfectly, however, I did not select the users that the images belonged to (user error )...

Instead they were all uploaded with my user name.

I went to my admincp but could not find where to change the ownerships of the images... I did find the mass edit/delet command, but that does not allow me to change user names

Is there a quick way to do this? Or should I empty the categories and go through the motions again...

Thanks in advance!

Re: where do i upload pics in quantity?

There's not a quick way of doing this other than updating them through a query and moving the images on the server into that user's folder.
