Act as Category

What does this mean? "Act as Category"

I can guess, but I sure do miss those little vBulletin admin panel "?" clickers over on the right side.

So, clicking Yes or No to this item - what does it imply?

Re: Act as Category

If you select "Yes" it will make that forum closed for posting (there wont even be the image for any usergroup" and you can add subforums to it and they will display underneath and not inside.

On these boards "vBAdvanced Products" would be a category.

Hope this helps.

Tell me about it lol. I think this topic and others like it will be in the user manual. Get it in the vB members area on the official site.

Re: Act as Category

I guess I'm going to have to hack my way through this. If I set it to not be a category, all the photos went away. When I set it to yes, they all came back.

NOTHING is obvious in the world of computers. The documentation for vBulletin isn't all that great and this Gallery has its own setup needs that aren't necessarily bulletin board related.

I think this logic is reverse. If I set it to "Yes" it is available for posting.

If I set it to "No" it is a title header. I hacked through it anyway.

That'd be correct.
