SMODS cannot validate comments despite user permissions set correctly...

Hi Brian

I am having a little trouble getting the system to allow my SMODS to validate submitted comments and pictures. What do I need to do to get this checked out by you please...?

The screenshot is a pic of what one of my SMODS sees after some comments and pics have been uploaded. Also... there's no title in the ACP left hand menu for the Gallery Admin etc...

Did you set those users up as moderators of a specific category?

I did...

AdminCP>vBagallery>UserGroup Permissions>SuperModerators>Go>All yes

...???

They have to be set as a moderator (Admin CP => vBa Gallery => Edit Categories => Add Moderator) of a category before they will be able to validate images.

Why not have the smod permissions trickle over into vBa gallery?

Yup! My Super-mods don't have anything to moderate either.
Setting them as moderators in each category is a pain.

my Photo-Team Group has about 6 members. every member has to get validation rights, and that in about 100 categories.

why not simply with grouppermissions ?

Same boat here.... Not that many catagories yet but there soon will be.

Is it enough to set the Smod as a moderator to the parent category only (such as 'Members Category') or is it necessary to add the moderator to each child category? BTW, how should this work as the new member albums are created on the fly ?
