Arrow chmod?

How do I do this?

'Now you will need to chmod the /gallery/files folder to 777'

Cheers

Re: chmod?

You can do it through most FTP clients if you right-click the files folder, and go to properties. Or, you can do it on the command line if you telnet in.

Re: chmod?

Hi ConqSoft, thanks for the advice. I've just checked this and it's all running at 777. I get this error message when trying to upload pics:

Warning: mkdir(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 1010 is not allowed to access /home/virtual/site111/fst/var/www/html/gallery/files owned by uid 48 in /home/virtual/site111/fst/var/www/html/gallery/upload.php on line 95

Warning: chmod(): Unable to access /home/virtual/site111/fst/var/www/html/gallery/files/2 in /home/virtual/site111/fst/var/www/html/gallery/upload.php on line 96

Warning: chmod(): No such file or directory in /home/virtual/site111/fst/var/www/html/gallery/upload.php on line 96

I think Brian hit the nail on the head when he said that our server seems to be running in safe mode. I've just sent off to them a support ticket so we'll se what they have to say!

Cheers.
