How do I make some fields mandatory?

I would like to make some fields like title, description and keywords mandatory.
I could use javascript for that but since vB has most likely a function just to check for empty fields, I would prefer to not pollute the code.
If anyone knows how can this be achieved I would appreciate any help!

In your upload.php file look for:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Right above that add:

Content visible to verified customers only.
