HTML code for value of a specific custom field?

Is there any way to input the value of a specific custom field in a template that displays that custom field?

The reason I ask this is because I need the value of one of my custom fields to be in the ALT text of the images.

Are you trying to do this in showimage.php? If so, open the file and look for:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Right below that, add:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Replace 'X' there with the custom fieldid that you want to use, then add $customvariable into the alt tag for the image.
