Settings explanation

Hi Brian

Apologies about some forthcoming dumb questions... but I don't quite understand a few things on the vBGallery settings options screen.

Files Path
The full path (NOT the URL!) to the folder in which your images will be stored.

What does NOT the URL mean??

Re: Settings explanation

That would be the path to that directory... Similar to how you entered the path to your forum's folder when you installed the script.

It's the full path to your folders as it is known by the operating system as opposed to the URL which is used by your browser. To give an example, the URL to my gallery's files is (Files URL)...
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
... but when I'm working at a telnet prompt and need to switch to that folder I'll reference (Files Path)...
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
... instead.

Re: Settings explanation

Ok thanks for these answers.

I have put values into the relevant options fields, but havent put anything into the ftp fields. Do I need to populate those too?

I am still unable to upload anything. When I do I get the message saying that my images will appear when a moderator has approved them, but when I click on the validate images in AdminCP I see nothing???

Any offers...?

Re: Settings explanation

What did you set for your 'Files Path' option? Also, did you make sure to chmod your gallery/files folder to 777?
