We will decide what is the best way to support vb5 before they make a release. Like I have said here I have user integration and css template integration worked out for sure just not full header footer integration. If we can support it we will if not we will go with the mid level integration. They are not on a release candidate yet as interest in vb5 has been very poor so they are taking there time it appears. Once they release some final round releases we will definately release some type of official stance on integration with vb5.

omegatron.net/photos/index.php
I need to update to beta 23 and see if that hurts anything but so far I think I have been able to do full header footer style integration just like we do with vb4/vb3.
We are in a good spot with vb5 integration. Do not know what vb5 will do for vbulletin itself since interest is not there like they want.

I have released a beta for Classifieds to support vBulletin 5.0 http://www.photopost.com/forum/class...10-2013-a.html
specific questions on a particular product can be asked in the respective beta forum for that product.

Anyone who has access to the vbulletin 5 series code please setup a test site and test the betas I have released. I need some active testing going on.

Well I had already suggested to you that you change my ftp access to allow me access to do a fresh setup on your site somewhere else. You have me locked into that one vb test area that has an issue. Hard for me to do other clean tests.
What I need is more people who have access to vBulletin 5 to test things out.
Obviously I have two different products integrated with vBulletin 5 and no issues.
You have an issue but you are the only person who has spoken up I need others to setup test sites and try things out. If too many people have issues then I will rethink how we will support vb5 well before they get to any type of final releases. They are still in the beta phrase and going slow.

Your issue was a simple config.php file change for the vb config file which was setting the directory to photopost in the test site you had and the resolution was simple when I grabbed a pre beta 24 copy of vb 5.

anyone let me know any thoughts when testing. I have confirmed things work fine thus far on vb4 have worked with two different sites so personally have verified beta setup without issue in 3 separate servers so we should be good to go. Just have to wait and see if vb throws any monkey wrenches into things since they are still beta.

I am pretty confident that our Pro,Review and Classifieds applications at this point support vB5. It has been several months and things have been pretty status quo. |
