A discussion regarding PhotoPost PRO 8 features

Okay, next topic.... features.

First off, specifically, what can we remove that just contributes to "code bloat" and little benefit? I am thinking the Send Ecard feature is something that is outdated and rarely used in the era of "sharing" features.

Are ecards still relative?

Also, do people like having the flexibility to change the layouts of each category (thumbnails, with titles, puzzle and details)?

What about the whole voting/contest functionality?

Trying not to do everything would greatly simplify codes and templates.

Whity you can already have unlimited upload fields on upload for every specific category you define them under edit categories in Admin.

The voting features of the program need to be moderized agree there.

No, I would like to add the choice of location watermark in the photo at the time of upload.
And the checkbox, which cancels the watermark (if the user upload someone else's photo)

Hi, Whity. I don't see that being an option during upload, honestly. I think it could be done with a modification, but I dont see that being built into the product.

It's possible; I need to get the UI stuff sorted out first, then we can look at adding stuff to it like advertising.

An images tab on vbulletin profile that lists all albums and images that the member has uploaded.

I would like to have the possibillity to search users comments easier. Like in membersprofile -> statistics, the number of uploaded photos is clickable and direct you immediatly to the photos. Me and my members would like to do the same with users comments. The number of comments is showing at statistics but ist's not a direct link to the given comments now. Would be nice if it was though.

I like have a photo edit program.
I have this al done in Vbulletin (plugin) but it seems me nice do use it in photopost

ECards in Queue are 0 now in my gallery. I think that function would be swapped for a simple version of send to friend or sharing in facebook and other social media.
After all spreading the word is what it's all about.

The contest option needs improvements, and will be very popular once it's works. All galleries want this option.

This option I suggested sounds good.. at least to me

Control of witch category shows what. Like for contest category option to show exif info but just there and what category shows what custom pals. Treat categories like CMS pages.

Yes, but being able to set the default site wide would be nice.

Consider the option to hide the photos info (title, description, etc) until you hover it and then explode it. Simplify the presentation of thumbs and photos. The current presentation is very much dated.

Let's hope not...

As with all these option users can disable them or enable them, use them or don't use them.

I think with a good contest option Photopost would rise in sales and be more popular.

the e-card function sounds like a good idea, but no one ever uses it on my big board. I dont mind that its there either.

Mobile applications: let members upload photos and videos straight from their mobile phone/iphone/android.

Harvest images from vbulletin attachment manager. The attachment manager allows members to see the images they have posted in threads and many of them would be nice to have in my PP gallery. Now they are hidden in threads.

An option to hide the user, title, description, etc below the thumbs would be nice. The intent is to clean things up. Display that by exploding that info when you hover the thumb.

An option to share or like a photo or gallery for FB would be nice.
