would need more info.. as you are in forum: general discussion..
is your gallery, vBGallery or Photopost Pro?
what version? vbgallery 2.x or 3.x?
are you running vbulletin 3 or 4?
I'm asking because in vbgallery, if you upgraded from beta 1 to a newer version some usergroup permissions changed...

If you have changed nothing.. maybe your provider upgraded from php 5.x to 5.3x.. in that case some things could have changed..

was wondering , there was a similar problem with vbgallery (thats why the question)... somehow permissions got lost after server upgrade to php 5.30. the fix was to redo the permissions for all usergroups and save them again. (that way datastore was rebuilt)
I have no idea though if that will work with pppro..

Luciano,

Many thanks for your time, have discovered the problem.

I added a notice to the VB forum for members yesterday it included links to a competition in the gallery and something in that notice is preventing members viewing the photo post gallery.

Sorry to have troubled you and once again many thanks for your prompt response

Yes hack conflicts are the number one cause of any issues.
