Photo quality loss / fading

I'm seeing some image quality loss with uploads to my web site. The colors are a bit faded with a general decline in photo quality.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this or has any recommendations on how to fix this.

Thanks in advance

Here's a comparison of my web site (PP) vs. flickr.

those pictures are different sizes but neither are blurry to me.

Yes as any resizing etc on uploaded pics could reduce quality if not set to the max.
