Here you find a compare list. PhotoPost PHP Photo Sharing Photo Gallery: Pro vs. vBGallery
At now I am using VBG 2.5 with VB 3.8.4
At a test server I have installed VB 4 and bought PP Pro.
At first glance I can say that I must not have the features of PP Pro. For a stand-alone product it is usefull, but not for a full integration in VB.
Some festures are not integrated in PP Pro (show photos on VB index site) or I can find it.
But I think for VB 4 I will stay at PP Pro because the VBG is full of bugs and not well supported.

Thanks mike i also have pp pro as it supports vb4, but did not realise it does not have the full integration features that vbg does, still i like it.

Chuck posted a mod for integration. At now I can't get it work at all points. But I think we will have the forumhome integration later.

I've tried it, Chuck.
1) XML builder works fine
2) creating Navbar tab works fine
3) adding photos to the members profile block works, but no photo is shown. Only a link to this.
3) integration of photos on the vb index page does'nt work. Nothing to see.
Maybe I have not enough knowledge of the english language that I don't understand all. So I don't know what you mean with step 5.
I think I will get out it later. I say thank you for your efforts at all.

3. Make sure your data url in admin edit integration settings has a trailing slash.
4. The hack still requires you to add a hook location in the forumhome template which means you edit that template. However in 4.01 vb which they just released THEY FINALLY ADDED FORUMHOME HOOK LOCATIONS ON TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE CAT LIST YES
So simply put you dont need to hack the template anymore just simple edit the plugin for forumhome and change this line Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
change to Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

That's indeed very simple and all works fine.
A last question to this - I swear - what is to do if I want to have the photos at the bottom of forumhome, above the statistics?
(maybe you want to move your answers to the mod thread. Think they are very helpfull)

| PRO vs VBG
Hi,
VBG,simply because of the integration and the superior look and feel.
Photopost Pro is Photopost's flagship gallery and they update it more frequently and it also has more features than VBG.
Thanks
