Suggestions to speed up photopost gallery

Hi

I was wondering if anyone would be able to give some pointers on how to speed up our gallery. It is quite large and users have been complaining about response time. The site is hosted overseas from the largest chucnk of user. It used to be hosted locally but bandwidth costs forced us to move the site overseas. I had a look at the FAQ for speeding up photopost, but was wondering if there is anything else that you guys can see which we might change to give better response time and loading time.

We have tried quite a few options. Still want to maybe increase the compression value, but don't want to compromise photo quality. It is hosted on a dedicated server which we have access to.

Hi,

The speed of your site is normal.

You can change many things in admin cp to speed up.

Your site loads fine to me.

Now the only slower part is actuall loading the index and there are plenty things as fermachado states you can do to speed it up.

You can select in index options to show catdepth to 0 to only show parent cats.

You can turn off the undercats pal stuff or components.

You can turn on or off the category cache in global options whichever one sees faster
