Do we really need a flash uploader?

There are a lot of issues with the flash uploader in the support forums, because of this I may ask why is it an advantage to do the upload with flash instead for example as vbulletin is doing it with attachements (ajax I think)?

vbulletin does attachments via a normal http input prompt the same way our normal upload process works.

The issues with the flash uploader where with it not working with flash 10. Because this code is written by someone else we had to wait for them to provide working code. This is the main reason why we included an on off switch in admin for this option. Photopost Pro 6.21 and vbGallery 2.5 beta both contain flash uploaders which work with flash 10 now.

Yeah that was in the original 6.2 release announcement when we included the product.

PhotoPost 6.2 Released!

Michael knew that there would be issues with flash versions changing that we added that switch to turn it off and fall back to normal upload.
