Look in the documentation folder - upgrade.txt. Make sure you backup your database and all files before doing the upgrade just in case something goes wrong.

Yes, the URL is upgrade.php as you put there.

Hi chuck,

in my admin cp it says the version i have of the gallery is 6.1 but in my config.php file it say // PhotoPost Pro Version Number
$VERSION = "6.02";

Which upgrade should i perform ? from 6.0 to 6.1 ? or 6.1 to 6.2 ?

I just upgraded from 6.1 to 6.2

Your config file does not update unless you view the config and save from admin panel to write the new code there. You are fine to do a 6.1-6.2 upgrade.

Chuck,

I had that question recently and I see others do as well. Is there a reason that $VERSION even exists anymore in config-inc.php? It seems to me it causes more confusion than anything because it's completely meaningless.

Do you think it might be better to just remove that in future releases of PP products?

It is little more than a backup nowadays potentially it could be removed although the config file for most products even vb is stored in the config file.
