| Need script that imports pp users to phpbb3
I have a photopost site with existing users and well over 3000 images. My site is finally getting a few thousand distinct hits a month so I decided to add phpbb3. I would like the forums and gallery users to integrate but you only support integration if forum is running before photopost script is installed. I've searched phpbb forums and photopost forums the last few weeks and have seen dozens of people in the same situation as me stuck with no solution. Seems like photopost forum admins response everytime is make your own import script or migrate users manually. Can anybody post a step by step guide to migrate users and/or refeer me to where i can find a pre-made import script. Thx :/

wrong cookie I would suspect on phpbb3 you need to input a cookie name to be recognized.
Also there is not such script to import photopost users to phpbb3 you would probally need to write some such script.

| Thank you.
I did not write a script instead I manually added users to phpbb with same user ids. its a little confusing looking at 200 tables in settings. was i suppose to put a cookie prefix or a cookie name.
my cookie name is phpbb3_q7f32
does it just want phpbb3_ or entire cookie name?

When you install and select phpbb3 you input the full cookie name where asked. There is no such thing as a cookie prefix in phpbb3 thats phpbb2. |

| ok almost there
so far i have existing photopost installed to root folder (example.com/)
my forums are installed to (example.com/forum/)
tables are all in same database with different prefixs pp_ and phpbb_
manually added each existing user to new phpbb install.
went into phpmyadmin and changed all user ids to match existing user ids in photopost user tables.
went into photopost settings table changed registration system to phpbb3
updated cookie prefix and cookie name
updated prefix for forums to phpbb_
then i uploaded install.php and droped the usergroup table.
reran install.
i can login to forum and photopost fine problem is when i login as admin i am able to access admin features for phpbb but photopost seems to recognise me as a registered user not an admin. i can edit profile, favorites, comments, ect.. but admin link doesnt show up on top menu and when i view online users on bottom of index it doesnt show me theyre ip like you would see if logged in as admin just which picture theyre viewing.
i reverted back to using photopost user tables until i can figure out a solution to this problem. if you have any suggestions please let me know. thx for the help.

PM me ftp and phpmyadmin info as well as urls and admin login so I can see what your doing. Might be something to do with the way your trying to manually add users.
