Sub-category help

I am having a problem with sub-categories. I've created a main category for pictures/layouts and a sub-category for the same called "archives". But when I move images from the pictures/layouts into the archives it still shows in the pictures/layout folder, as well as the archive folder - and the numbers are shown in the summary box on the main index.

For example (I hope I can type this so it reflects the problem okay, if not I can send a screen shot):

Main Category: "This month's contest submissons" > Sub Category "Contest Submission Archives"

What happens is (for example) in October we have 10 submissions, on Nov 1st we move those 10 to the "archived" folder, starting again with zero in the "contest submission" folder again - with this if we were to get, say 15 submitted in Nov, then come Dec 1st, the archive folder should have 25 when we move them. But the system is only putting a copy of those ten into the archive folder, instead of physically moving them.

Does this make sense?

If you truly move photos to another category they would not still be in the contest folder so yes we would need more info here. You can post a site link to let us see what you see.

Hi Chuck,

Thank you-

Our gallery is at: http://www.scrapbooksuppliesdirect.com/gallery/

After making this post I created a new top category for the archived posts, but to show you what it's doing I moved one back.

So, if you go to our site (http://www.scrapbooksuppliesdirect.com/gallery/) about mid-way down you'll see "Monthly Contests" in the orange bar and then "Member's Choice Submissions" and "Member's Choice Archives".

Both "Member's Choice Submissions" and "Member's Choice Archives" show one picture one picture being in them, but in reality there's only one picture - it's in the archive.
