| editing problem
I recently moved my forum to a new server and, foolishly as usual, I left the images for my reviewpost section on the old server which got deleted. The reviews were safe because they came over with the database, but now we have the task of reloading images against the reviews.
This isn't really a big deal as we don't have a vast number of reviews to fix; except that we're encountering a problem under <edit product>: When we try to load up a new photo, we get a message like the following:
Unable to move file [/tmp/php0wULph] [/var/www/vhosts/moongolfer.com/httpdocs/reviewpost332/data/5/ron.jpg]
I would be grateful for any insights as to what is causing this.
Many thanks.
Gord

Per our install instructions the data and uploads paths must be 777 permissions so you need to do chmod on that
You also if you want to move might want to double check the path to ensure it is correct and change if necessary in admin global options

Hi Chuck,
Thanks for the response.
The data directory is 777 and the path to it under global options is correct.
I double and triple checked ...

Safe Mode is Off in PHP Info?

okey doke.
I just checked all the permissions again and can confirm that they are as they should be (as stated in the Installation Guide).
I just tried to upload a test product but failed with the message:
Unable to move file [/tmp/phpkVnfwA] [/var/www/vhosts/moongolfer.com/httpdocs/reviewpost332/data/10/ron3.jpg]
ps safe mode is off in PHP info

Is your uploads directory 777 at every level]
The error is definately a permissions issue

Hi Chuck,
Are you saying that every directory in this path needs to be 777?
/var/www/vhosts/moongolfer.com/httpdocs/reviewpost332/data
and
/var/www/vhosts/moongolfer.com/httpdocs/reviewpost332/uploads
Would that not constitute a security risk?
(Currently this bit is all 777: /httpdocs/reviewpost332/uploads and /httpdocs/reviewpost332/data)
