| PhotoPost PRO
I've been testing PhotoPost PRO and it's full of bugs and not well developped.

Bugs found so far: - The installer is verry unclear and unsafe, it will return fatal errors if you forget to do something what isn't stated in the instalation script
- vBulletin Wysiwyg editor doesn't work and returns a Javascript error
- some included images in the download package are malformed, for example the upload indicator (/images/indicator.gif)
Further, it's not "well" developped or complete. - The users are not linked to their forum profile, for some users who posted a photo there is a link to statistics
- The description of the photo does not have a Wysiwyg editor
- It doesn't seem possible to configure the quality of the full (but resized) image, just for thumbnails AND resized images together
I will update this post with other bugs etc. I find, as I will be completely redevelopping a gallery script based on PhotoPost PRO.

Hi!
You should first check if the url wich fails to open really exists, if not try to get the file to that location or if the file is located on a difrent location on the server, try to find a setting wich specifies the location of the file.
Is there no documentation at all btw?
If you buy PhotoPost PRO it starts of with this as the ONLY instalation instructions: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

I had it installed by the support people here and it started to act up once they installed classifieds for me. I don't know what the deal is, but I haven't heard from them in a Day now.

You can find documentation here.
I can't tell if you are looking for help or just here to complain; I believe your issues have more to do with your disposition and a misunderstanding of how to implement the integration than actual issues with our scripts.

Keep in mind, it is Sunday; support is less intensive over weekends and holidays (we all have families, you know).

There maybe some things that could be made better in photopost and there are certainly some features and customizations that are not included, but as whole photopost is a pretty dam good script.

Hi!
The problem is: it's not developed for vBulletin wich makes it slow and ineffective and missing a lot of cool features available in vBulletin today.
Best Regards,
Jan Jaap

| I also found the link to the photo gallery statistics to be of no use. I edited a template for showmembers to make it link straight to their gallery. The quality control on full photos would be nice also. I agree it's not as polished as it could be but it's worked well for me so far.

Wow ... I've never had a problem with photopost on my Vbulletin and it's always done exactly what it's advertised and more
Just seems to me some people can't be happy unless they just do it themselves.

| this 2 bugs should be taken care of atleast... there are few very important addons which should be fixed/integrated properly in next release..

The "problem" with his setup was an incorrect cookie prefix (he was using a custom prefix and hadn't set it). Once we determined that was the problem, everything else fell into place.
The "profile" area is getting a makeover, but we want to link to a gallery profile first and from there they can link to the forum profile.

Also . . . does it grab the 'occupation,' 'location,' and those types of fields from vBulletin? That would be ideal. Don't think many of my members would want to make a seperate profile for the photo gallery. Including their signature would be nice in that profile page.
