Can't email this thread?

When I find a thread of interest I like to email it to my partner, but for quite some time now it says I don't have pernmission.

What gives?

From what I see the powers that be have not enabled this for registered or verified members since these forums are locked to the public.

Not a problem, I'll just copy paste the url as we have been doing.

Mostly it has to do with there being a ton of forums (not all visible), more than a few user groups and being able to set all the permissions accordingly.

Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > Usergroup > Can Use Email to Friend - Yes / No

I don't think that's where the limitation is - I think its in the Forum Permissions by usergroup. lol

It might also have something to do with the main setting
vB Options > email options > Enable Email features?

Again, no problems, I was just curious...
I usually copy/paste any relevant thread url into a private forum thread that the missus and me can keep track of for future reference.
