limiting display of latest ads from category

I am running classifieds and have 4 categories for ads. the latest entries show up on the main index page as they are supposed to. I would like to create a category where only where x number of new ads from that specidic category show up on the latest ads section. is that possible?

You can alter your files if you choose to pull only the latest ads from that specific category if you choose.

You would modify the display_gallery function queries to pull images from just the cat and not everywhere.
