Question ImageMagick vs GD 2.0x

What are the benefits of using one or the other? I am on a full dedicated server.

Thank You,
TimS

I would suggest Imagemagick since it supports more image formats than GD and does not use PHP's memory as GD does since it is part of PHP

@ PhotoPost Pro features listing ...
- GD2 support for image resizing, watermarks and on-the-fly watermarks (or use ImageMagick for all but on-the-fly)

I'm using GD2 - and not using on-the-fly watermarks ...

Therefore if I switch to ImageMagick to try it out, nothing should break...

Is this correct?

TIA,
Mark

yes if your not using on the fly watermarks switching to imagemagick is fine

If you still have gd you can use imagemagick for images and gd will be used for on the fly
