Watermark with JPG? V4.86

Is it possible to use a .jpg watermark? I have never been able to get it to work.

Watermarks are usually png files with GD processor and with imagemagick a gif will work or png if you have the png library installed with Imagemagick

I have never heard of anyone using a jpg image for a watermark
