Please Clarify! In photo upload there are three options, their wording at least to me is little confusing Max allowable image width in pixels Max allowable image height in pixels Trigger medium graphic height and width An uploaded larger than this will create a medium image of this size. Do I need to keep pic ratio in mind? for example What shall I select for these options so that my image ration always remains 800-600 ? If I have two pics one of 1024*768 and other is vertical 768 width & 1024 as hight. These pic should get resized to 800*600 and 600(width)*800 for vertical Does PP resize this image with correct aspect ration? |
Because not all images would resize to 800x600 and remain propertional (or 600x800); we use calculations to find the closest possible resize that is proprtional. If you put 800x600, then it will set the higher value that exceeds the set value and then calculate the proper other side. Does that make sense? |
yes, I wan unnecesarrily getting confused :D |
Any recommendation for this setting that would suit most? I'm still foggy about this issue... If this setting is changed, will it change the K value of previously uploaded large pics? It' not possible to rebuild large images is it? Thanks for any tips, (We currently have per pic upload K at 300K though it seems like 50 -150K is suffucient... have med pics set at 600 pixels. Mark |
