We're working on a photo printing service, but don't have a system for selling photos (yet).

PrintButton is photo printing and selling solution... "PrintButton" bolts on sophisticated e-commerce and print ordering facilities. For more information visit www.printbutton.com |

| Paypal plugin integration for photopost
Hello,
I've noticed this older post. www.vitaya.info. Paypal integration into Photopost PHP.
It is very easy to install and gives possibility to work with subscriptions or one time payments for users who want to register.
It actually is not ment to sell photos but more of payed access for member.

Your vitaya link didn't work. You sure this is the correct address? I'd like to see the Paypal integration.

Redoing some stuff on the site. Maybe we should make an announcement then everybody knows, hehe. Yeah it works great but ONLY on pp standalone for those who don't wanna go vb yet (anyway we got recurring billing vb does not yet). Ok, folks hope ppl can find this link so I don't have to reply every post :d, Next week vitaya will be back online.

I can't find a single photo printing service that takes photos from an external cart - shutterfly closed down the C4P program. Anyone know of anyone offering this kind of service? Sounds like several who started out doing it no longer offer this and expect you to upload your photos onto their servers into your own albums first.

With PrintButton photos only get uploaded after the order has been placed.

Ktools seems nice but it would not work witih PP, at least I do not think it will, also, it is not setup to allow your users to add photos and sell them and then track that. It is setup more for a one person stock photo type site.
PRINTBUTTON is nice but only for those in the UK. I would think the cost of shipping the finished product internationally would eat at your profits. Looks easy to setup though and those in the UK might find it to be a great option.
This type of thing is something my users have been asking for since I opened shop about three years ago. It would be a huge selling point for PP and any company willing to partner with PP could see a big bump in sales being the sole printing partner.
I hope it is something the PP guys can figure out!

Yes anything like this would be very useful. So printbutton does not integrate with PP?

I think this is no longer a PP future feature. It seems like the idea has died.

Well, the code is all there; its still an issue of finding companies willing to take orders via our software.

I'm sure there must be a company out there - it could be very good business for them and greatly enhance your potential userbase. I'll certainly keep my eye out...

Digibug just came out with an API very similar to C4P, but with a specific emphasis on selling your photos. We have created a contribution to Gallery for printing (and one for Coppermine too) and would like to work with someone to create one for PhotoPost as soon as possible. It would allow PhotoPost admins to set their own prices and control their profits. You can learn about it at www.digibug.com/digibugapi/. It's similar to C4P (API-wise), but you control branding, pricing, products, etc. Much more powerful and flexible.
John (jtreadway at digibug) - please contact me!

So, this is a type of plugin or something? Can you explain how it works?
This is something that I have been waiting for for a couple years. It would be great if it works.
I would love to see it happen.

Awesome news John!
I think if I were using photopost to sell my photos, I would want the full-size version for optimal printing at the largest purchasable size (8 x 10, 11 x 14, 12 x 18 @254, 300, xxx? dpi?) and would want these protected unless the user purchased them as prints (so people couldn't just download the high resolution versions and print them themselves)

It's fairly straightforward. An HTML form post to our server would contain thumbnail and hi-res image URLs along with information that identifies you and the pricing for the photos. It's documented at www.digibug.com/digibugapi/
Check it out or email jtreadway $AT$ digibug
