Existing PhotoPost with BBS Integration

How hard or should I say how dangerous is it to integrate an existing stand alone version of PhotoPost with existing photos and about a dozen or so users to either vBulletin or PHPbb? Don't think I'll lose the photos but I think the users may get blown away.

Well, to make it work the userids would need to stay the same. Once the userids gets changed for users, then the images and comments don't map properly. If you can arrange for the userids to stay the same, you shouldn't have alot of troubles.

If the user ID's do stay the same would the bbs pick them up or would they need to register again as a new user and if the did register as a new user how would that affect their current id.

Well, you'd also have to import the user data from PhotoPost (which would be a custom job, I'm sure). That would be the only way to make sure they stayed the same - otherwise they'd have to sign up in the exact same order.
