Ad Title Size
 

I find the standard settings for the ad titles is far too large. Some sellers will put far too much description in their Ad title because they can. The problem this creates is that when we show ad on other forum pages or sidebars that the title breaks the page layout.

I manually edit this in my install, but when the product templates change I have to edit it all over again.

We need to be able to enter a setting into the AdminCP to limit the number of characters the Ad Title field may contain.

I am not following what your saying here.

We truncate a title for display on our application so there is no issue. ;) Any ad block or category display we truncate a title to say 20 some characters so a longer title looks like this

some title is he....

If your using hacks or mods or something to so ads elsewhere outside our application then you would code those accordingly.

That would be outside our application or its support.

The template has only a text box size for Ad Title, not a maxlimit. The mod you provide to display ads on forum pages doesn't truncate the ad title at all. If someone puts a 254 character title in their ad it would show all of it in the random/recent ads shown on forum pages.

Because that mod is in columns the long titles break the format in those places.

Like I said your free to modify any mod as you see fit. We do not provide assistance with code mods they are not suported by us.

Yeah mods are mods. They do not come with support from the photopost company.

I would suspect you probally want to add something like this into the actual file used to show ads. In our current code titles are not shown on ad blocks.

Something like that you would put where the other variables are defined within the while loop that has the list statement that defines the variable $ptitle.
