"on hold" status Right now they can edit the ad title to achieve the same thing. It would be nice to have a standard On Hold status display that can be assigned (just like Sold It!), and also removed if the item goes back to being available. I have a lot of sellers who will negotiate with buyers and agree to extended payment terms on higher value items. They like to keep the item visible in case the buyer doesn't come through. A second potential buyer may ask to be put next on the list, and that helps avoid further delays if the first buyer doesn't make good on the payment agreement. Hope that makes sense. :) |
This should be easy enough to add in an upcoming version although hitting sold and relist does the same thing. |
I will look into adding this into the upcoming 3.0 Beta |

What is your vision of "on hold" mean or do? See my vision of an on hold status would remove the product from display to be sold but at the same time protect it from actually being removed from the system like sold or expired ads which are removed after 2 weeks. You seem to want the product to still be viewable to be bought etc. |
This is a good idea. The seller can check "on hold" or "pending payment" or some such. This doesn't expire the ad like "sold" does. It would still be on display, but the "contact" seller wouldn't work. Instead if someone clicked "contact seller" they'd get a message like: "The seller has put the item on hold at the present time. Check back later to see if this hold is released or if the item is sold." |
So your saying do not even hide the ad just show an on hold tag. |
Yes, like the "sold" tag. Have an "On Hold" tag and prevent "contact seller" from working as long as it's On Hold. |
okay got it |
I will look at adding this into 5.3 Beta 4 |
