When a customer purcahses the software, automate the system so they can get their download right away.

Waiting for something you paid for is a little discouraging.

If it is a license issue, maybe you should make it autho the install off your server based on the domain name or have the code check to make sure it is still vaild licensed copy when the page is called by the viewer

I do beleive our ordering page clearly states we hand process every order and will email your account information.

I do not see the Hand Processing part of it.

So I would not say clearly, however since this is a suggestion forum, I am merely suggesting you implement some sort of instant access download for your customers. Not just for this product but for all products.
