Upgrade from 2.5 to 3.03 -- Suggestions

I thought I'd write to let you know that I updated my 2.5 classifieds (released February 6th, 2006) today to 3.03.

The install went super smoothly, no errors. I noticed that entering the admin panel is slower. It looks like old ads are being deleted now because the # of active ads dropped by over a 1,000 and the data folder is down to 200-something MB instead of 486 MB.

I noticed a new "Buy it now" link. Interesting. I do have two comments for you guys though:
1. The "Contact Seller" link should be more prominent. I've modified my installation so "Contact Seller" is highlighted and noticeable. See here - Ford F150 Classifieds - Leather Shifter Wrap
2. For HTML semantics, you should make the product title an H1 tag. Again, I've modified my installation - Ford F150 Classifieds - Undercover Hard bed cover

I also have a question:
- In v2.5 users had problems renewing their ads. They'd have to click the link in the e-mail, log in, and then go back and click that link again. Is that fixed now?

Well that's it for now. Keep up the good work, and let me know what you think of my suggestions.

They always need to be logged in for links to work there is nothing to fix there.

Your install by the way does not come up

ooops, I disabled spider-friendly URLs and I guess that means the old URLs don't work. Switched back, it works now.

Is there an easy way to redirect the spider friendly URLs to non-spider friendly ones? Know what I mean? I am thinking of turning off spider friendly URLs but if I do that then all links & traffic coming in from search engines and other sites will be broken (no 404 error, nothing, just a blank page) like you saw when you clicked.

You have to turn off spider urls thats the only way to fix that issue your server does not support them.

Chuck, what do you think of my 2 earlier suggestions?
