Hi Chuck,

Firstly upgrade went smoothly. I didn't notice any issues.

Secondly I had a major panic last night thinking... What if i can't disable the new paypal buy it now feature for certain usergroups. Thank gosh that I noticed it in the usergroup permissions. Well done here. Could you confirm though that this permission will indeed disable the new paypal payment per item???


Secondly two suggestions.

1) Ability for users to display how many copies of an items are remaining and not.
- This feature should always display the total number remaining for the person who created the classification though.

2) When the user adds a classified as is prompted to enter their paypal address. I think it would be very useful to have a:

If you do not have a paypal address: Click here to create one.

This could open the paypal url in a new window.



Overall I think the new upgrade is great but needs the above to items to fine tune the useability.

If you set a group to not allow payment this does not disable buy it now only a user can enable or disable that. Allow payment in admin is payment to place ads you know money to you.

As far as your suggestions if an ad has more than 1 quantity we already show the quantity

The second suggestion might be a nice idea for a future version.

The fist option is very important as I don't believe anyone will sell tickets if the audience can see how many are remaining or more importantly how fast they are selling.

I suggesting the ability for users to not publicly display the quantity remaining. Similar to how Ticketek does it. Only the people who post the tickets can see quantity remaining.

Hi Chuck,

I was referring to preventing illegitimate or dodgy sellers. Basically I only want sellers who are of a particular user group who are trusted to be able to sell direct "buy it now" to their paypal.

I will gladly look at any suggestions our next go around here on a beta. It makes sense basically your looking to move buy it now into a usergroup setting
