Buy It Now

Dear Photo Post Staff,

I would like to make the suggestion of having a "Buy It Now" feature added to the Photo Post Classifieds program. Using the Red and Grey look like seen on Ebay I think would be the reccomended look of the buy it now identity.

Also using the buy it now feature you should still be able to set the starting bid lower than that of the reserve or buy it now price, I have noticed that some auction programs will not let you start the starting or reserve prices lower than the buy it now price.

Also it would be nice to see the option for the seller to set the buy it now feature to require "Immediate Payment Required" with paypal or credit card like found on Ebay.

well simple buy it now link to purchase via paypal added in my test copy. Buyer can set whether to allow buy it now or not. There is note saying there email account must be set to there paypal email for this to work.

I will take what I can get right now, But hopefully we can get all of the features of "Buy It Now" that I mentioned above added into Photo Post Classified's if possible.

Thank you for working so hard on trying to to bring us these added features.

Also Chuck as far as how your buy it now works on the test copy, are you saying that its either enabled or not enabled and if it is enabled the buyer must use the email address for their classifieds email address as the email address they use for paypal? Am I understanding this correctly?

Well I am a coder not an avid ebay man Any features I add will most likely be refined as time goes on

The way the buy it now button works if the user elects to allow buy it now a user can hit buy it now when viewing the ad to pay for the item. It will be marked sold and both user and seller are sent emails with contact info etc.

It's a start Chuck. I'll have to try the test version out after I get finished installing and configuring the regualar version.

and what happens if the buyer does hit the "buy it now", but decides not to buy it or pay for it. Does it still get marked with "sold"?
