Arrow Set Payment Options to User Groups ?

I would like to be able to allow some registered users to advertise for free while others have to pay, and make this for all categories. I see no way of setting this up under the current structure. Or perhaps, allow some registered members to place ads and allow others NOT to place them, only to view them and to contact advertisers. Any ideas?

YES !! YES !!

I NEED to set posting by group as well.

i.e.

USERS = Pay
Adertisers ( who pay a yearly fee) = don't pay

This really needs to get looked at. Any plans for adding this?

Talking There is a way!!

I sort of figured it out. but I cant explain completly yet but I have some idea. My portal handles user registration and payment renewals and prevents users from accessing classifieds based on group forum access. A premium / subscribed user will default down to register user and still be able to access.

I have the following groups:
AA MA MA AP AH AB AI AC AEA AEC
Admin y y n y y y y y y y
Premium Users n o y y y y y y y y
Subscribed Users n n y n y y y y y y
Trial Period 1 (5) n n y n y y y y y y
Trial Period 2 (10) n n y n y y y y y y
Registered User n n y n n n n o y y

*o=optional

Its just a POC but I'll let you know how it works out.

Yes, I have it installed and running but in order to charge only the non-premeir members I have to create multiple categories.

See what I have done here: http://xlforum.net/pp_classified/index.php

I have premier members that pay a yearly fee for access to various parts of the website and other perks. One of those perks is that they do not have to pay for ads. All other members need to pay.

I would also like to have it set to let non-premier members have one ad running for free but would charge them for each ad after that if they want the ads to run concurrently.

When I create a category in PP Classifies it has options for the base price of an ad and highlight, bold, and italicise but there is no way to limit that by usergroup within a category.

What I want to do is to be able to put in a base price and price for the other features (highlight, bold, italic) but only certain usergroups are charged.

Then I would not have to have three subcategories for each main category.

What do you mean by this? That makes no sense here. I can have a group set to pay and a group not set to pay and they go to a category one has to pay the other doesnt.

The payment code is surrounded by a global setting which is your usergroup payment switch so it knows yes to execute or not.
