VB forum hack/suggestion

I've written a plug in for vb3.5 which does this, mirrors an advert to a specified forum (so it shows up in searches and New Posts), however when you go to view the thread, it automatically takes you to the actual PP classified

It won't remove ads from the forum when they expire, though I'm not too fused about that - I could look at packaging it up if there was a desire? (it has no config either, you have to edit variables...?)

I am not sure what you mean by "edit viarables... etc", but can you port it? with some description what to edit?
Do you have also something that will show new ads in content box (like pictures from photopost) on forumhome? (this would be even better then ads in specific forum).

Click any thread however and you will be taken directly to the classifieds.... this what you meant you wanted?

Second addition to promote classified would be to have recent ads box (one that shows up on your classified home - 4recent ads pictures) on the buttom of forumhome or elsewhere on forumhome.

I'll look at making it a bit more user friendly

If you give me list of variables (is it something like how to connect to database?...) with short description, hopefully I will be able to figure it out somehow .-)

Well I have just gone through all the code and packaged it up as a vBulletin Product (so all you do is import it in, then set the options in the cp)

There are 2 PPC file edits required, however they are so easy - don't worry!

There is one thing bugging me at the moment though, and that is the vB API doesn't seem to index the post (so a search won't show it, though "New Posts" will) - though I hope to have this sorted by the end of the weekend - when i will post it up here
