Live Auctions for PhotoPost Classifieds

Is there any interest in auctions? Our members are excited about classifieds, but an auction brings a sense of excitement to the forum because they are much more dynamic. Many more people would browse the want ads if there were some auctions going on as well.

Is anyone else interested in an auction capability?

Regards,

Matt

I've said all along that auctions was something I had in mind - so you are covered.

Fantastic. I searched the entire forum on AUCTIONS but came up dry - I didn't try AUCTION - now I see your earlier post about AUCTIONs

Regards,

Matt

By the way - let me know if you need any beta testing. I have been through a couple of auction scripts already.

I think many of us are looking forward to ths addon.
I also think thats pp sales will fly through the roof when this is fixed.

On a business point of you I would have made it as an add on module then i would make more money from an already brilliant script

I asked about this before, one of the reasons I am holding off purchasing PPC.

would buy PPC in a heartbeat if it included an AUCTION addon, or centered around an auction theme... it would draw ALOT more interest from an established online community as well as a good source of income for an online community if there was a small fee per auction ala ebay style and it would go through a PAYPAL, 2checkout style transaction for the online community...

awaiting impaitently

We have an active BETA going on right now to bring it up to PP 4.8 standards.

I'd love to see a version of the classifieds based on an auction type scenario. I have two of your products and am fairly pleased thus far although the classifieds I wish got more attention (already mentioned this).

Cheers, T. Teal

is there any timeframe (roughly) for an auction module/ upgrade for PPclassifieds?

Is it a question of 2 weeks, 2 months, 6 months etc. ?

I know that it is always risky to announce any kind of schedules, but it is important to know for our investment to plan whether something like this will "stress" our budget in the current quarter or only in the next one?

I would love to be "stressed" this quarter myself, but I don't think that's gonna happen

A client of mine is asking me to build a website with classifieds and auctions. There's a great new option out there that has this functionality with vBulletin integration but I'm really reluctant to buy it - I'd much rather have it here.. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed but the client is the boss...

Well I think the classifieds build in beta right now deals with bidding and paypal payment integration which are the two major new things I would say.
