Your profile views and classifieds is active
Still your sites a little weird maybe conflicts with edited changed templating or hacks but none of the classifieds ads and profile stuff show on your site. Could be your custom styles. Your site definately does not look like the example I provided and if your templating is not current meaning full vb 4.2 series compatible styles that could explain alot but at least you have no errors now.
I just reinstalled the xml with the one I linked above. |

I thought this had been done the other night 'cos the Navbar link appeared as an option. Fixed now though. Thanks again |

Well when I just looked at the plugin a little bit ago it sure looked to me like older code not what was in the 5.23 download so I just whipped up a new one for you. |

Oddly, classifieds are now breaking again
Footer is back into the main body of text - certainly for wanted ads! Mk1 Punto Sporting - FS: Shop
Tried downloading the XML to reupload again (think thats what we did last time this error occured?) but it's not doing anything When I try and overwrite the XML I get the following error
XML Error: Invalid document end at Line 1
help!!

Tried that and it appers to just display a blank page
*Update*
Installing the old contents of that template also result in a blank page
I could just disable the old wanted setting and copy permissions from For Sale - only downside is that doing so seems to skip stage one of the Upload Ad process?

Just uploaded your file via ftp and still the ad is broken
Still got a blank page after effectively editing the template previously in the admin panel.
Sorry, but really not sure how to rectify this now?!

Tried again earlier without any joy. Just away to turn in for the night as I've a feeling that 6 hours sleep in 2 days isn't good. I'll fire info in a ticket before I turn the PC off
If you want to have a looky that would be very much appreciated. Hopefully it's something simple that won't take long to fix tomorrow. Bar the wanted issue I really do think the classifieds are fantastic and hopefully our users will agree.
Cheers,
Martyn

Not a problem I will check and see what I can see that your doing. Clearly the template I am posting here is what I have shown you in my example.

The members featured ads on the main forum index - where is this controlled from?
It's linking ads but the images ain't displaying at all in Moz or IE. Hopefully another simple problem to fix
Cheers,
Martyn

Bingo - the very last / was missing - sorted now.
Is there any way of making this block - and similarly the Photopost Gallery block - display random ads/images rather than simply the most recently added?

You can edit the forumhome plugin to show the featured ads on forumhome and change the $q_switch line to random not latest. In the upcoming versions settings are going to be added into panel of photopost admin so you do not need to edit plugins.

Knowing my luck with the software so far, that sounds like a MUCH safer option.
Is this in version 5.3? Will try and get the upgrade down later tonight |

5.3 contains updates to show how many photos to show and what type of block to show from our admin panel yes.

Cool - so if I've got this right it's just upload the files, run the installer, remove the old production from VB admin then upload the new xml product?

Per the documentation.
1. Upload the files except config files and run upgrade.php if you are upgrading a site.
2. Uninstall the vb plugin from vb
3. Make sure the 3 xml files are 777 in your install directory
4. Go to your classifieds admin panel and generate the new xml
5. Install that into your vb admin panel
6. delete the classifieds install directory
