PP-INC.php

I'm trying to upload the changed files from 5.21 to 5.22 and as soon as I upload the pp-inc.php file, the main classifieds index becomes all messed up. The depth of categories and the general layout are affected although the settings seem to be the same. What does this file affect settings-wise?

Old file:
old_pp-inc.jpg

New file:
new_pp-inc.jpg

I also can't seem to submit comments with the new file, but if I switch back, I can. With the new file, I get a blank "Classifieds Message".

I've found some other problems as well:

In a normal For Sale listing, my footer looks normal as seen here:
for_sale_footer.png

But in a Wanted listing, my footer looks like this:
wanted_listing_footer.png

And I was wondering where the code would be located to insert the proper space after the comma between the city and state in the location of all listings:

I am really not sure what your trying to explain here.

Main Index - Reeftalk Classifieds

There is nothing wrong that I am seeing here in your example but your not exactly using a default vb style so maybe something related to that custom style?

Definately nothning I would be able to comment on without further explanation and actually seeing real site links. Your first post the parent category name is suppose to be larger than the subcat names when your using the nothumbs category bar. That will use whatever vb style element that is cat_main I beleive.

Now maybe I need to put on some reading glasses but your footer attachments as well look the same to me so not sure what your trying to say.

It is subtle, but look at it side by side and you'll see it. It's like there is a closing div tag missing somewhere in a Wanted template.

This problem exists ONLY in wanted ads, no where else in the classifieds or in the forums, this is what lead me to believe it is not style related.

As for the categories, what I was trying to show was that the whole layout of my main classifieds page changed drastically, including the categories, comments, and random ads. The ONLY thing I did was upload the pp-inc.php file, refreshed, and saw the difference you see on those two images. Nothing else was changed. If I upload the old file from the previous installation, everything is back to the way it was. The image with the arrows shows the layout as I like it, with the two main categories (For Sale and Wanted) and then 1 level of sub-categories under each. All of that goes away when I upload that new pp-inc.php file, and I don't know why.

I would have to actually see you post a url and test user login so I can look at your site. I do not see any issues looking at my test site.

Yes, that seems to have fixed the Wanted Footer issue.

I am still operating on an old pp-inc.php file. I figured you might want FTP access to switch it back and forth to see what I am seeing.

There is nothing to comment on about your index display. As explained and shown in my example the category display is suppose to show as seen in my example.

I can not suggest using some old file as you might cause issues since mixing and matching files is not supported.
