"showgallery.php" not found???

New installation of PhotoPost 5.0 with vBulletin 4.2.0. After install click "Classifieds/MyAds" and get:

NOT FOUND
The requested URL/PhotoPostClassifieds/showgallery.php was not found on the server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encounered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

On investigation, the original download does not contain showgallery.php.

I think we already answered this via email. Redownload the build and redo the part about the vb4 plugin routine after uploading the install directory again.

Done and done.

I reloaded/reinstalled twice - prior to and after receipt of the email... same results.

You did redownload the build right as stated? Sounds to me like you have not redownload the build reuploaded the install directory to classifieds set permissions on the xml's to 777 and then in classifieds admin redo the xml. You then uninstall the classifieds plugin in vbulletin and then reimport the new one.

You can also in your vbulletin navigation manager edit the classifieds my ads link in that navbar manager and change any reference to showgallery to showcat.

Yes, downloaded as stated. I did another download a few minutes ago. I'll reinstall again if you think it would help.

I'm using ImageMagick. Is it possible that the install is expecting a PhotoPost prerequisite because of the showgallery.php link?

No I just downloaded classifieds there is no reference to showgallery.php anywhere in the code.

Are you sure your checking the box to overwrite when you reinstall the new plugin in your vb manager?

Like I said your free to edit any link in the navigation manager of vb and correct that ONE link that way since you seem to have a problem reinstalling the plugin.

I am using the plugin right here feel free to try all links they do work thats a clean install of 5.0

Noting your comment above about setting the xml's to 777. There were 3 @ 644 which I changed to 777. This wasn't documented in class/installphp.html. Did I miss anything else? At this point I'll reinstall from scratch, making the xml mod too.

No, I did not check the overwrite box. I did a product uninstall first... then an install. I'll try the overwrite option before anything else.

Tried the overwrite... same result. Will do another reinstall from scratch. I'm reluctant to use the vb navigation manager as a quick fix (other problems???)

Well you need to provide url to your install and specific issues for us to respond. You probally have installation issues and misconfigurations. The install.txt included in the documentations folder of the downloaded code clearly has proper documentation on how to install as well instructions of the installation of the vb4 xml files permissions and steps.

Quote:
IMPORTANT - FOR VBULLETIN 4 ONLY. New plugins included in download.

In the install directory set permissions on the file product_class.xml, source-vb4.xml and source-vb42.xml files to 777

2. Go to your photopost admin panel and hit the option to generate vbulletin plugin xml. That file will download to your computer.

3. Go into your vbulletin admin panel and under plugins & products select the option to manage products. You can then use the add/import product option
and upload the xml file you downloaded to your computer called product_class.xml file. Once that is done your forum will show gallery content.

4. Thats it your done!!
If you follow those steps you should have no issues. You can clearly see from the example site I noted that if things are properly installed there are no issues which is why I need more info specific to your problems. The one issue you reported here the resolution is what I have posted.

Success! The problem was apparently the permissions in the xml files. I missed the reference in "install/install.txt". Based on my experience, here's a few observations and suggestions:

1. Reference "install/install.txt" in "installphp.html" (for additional installation information).

2. ("installphp.html") The directory structure shows stylesheets (chmod 755) and it is later stated that files .css should have write permission (777).

3. Providing an install script to set all relevant permissions would be awesome.

4. The install script launches the upgrade script. It was not clear to me that one had to run the upgrade on a new install, but I did.

Thanks.

To my knowledge it is referenced in the install here on our site right down the bottom for the plugin.

PhotoPost PHP Photo Sharing Photo Gallery Installation Guide

The install script only launches the install script. The documentation instructions as well say to run install.php so not sure about the confusion you have there.
