update 2.61 to 4.2

Sorry for my english :(

Currently I have version 2.61 without integration with my vbulletin 4.0

Now I want to upgrate to the lastest version 4.2 and integrate with my board.

what steps I have to do?

I do not miss the data, but I like to "reset" all the templates of classifieds.

1. upgrade photopost classifieds if not using the latest

2. install vb

3. use vb impex system to import photopost users

4. empty the cp_usergroups table in your photopost classifieds database so on next step your vb usergroups will get imported

5. rerun photopost classifieds install using same prefix and database to integrate with vb. this will not delete data

6. run the userfix script from our photopost import forum here to realign userid's when you switch integration

My current configuration is:

4.06 vbulletin + 2.4 classifieds (with ugly custom styles)

I want to upgrade to the latest classifieds version 4.2

for final configuration:

4.06 vbulletin + classifieds 4.2 (with default styles)

Do I have to follow all your steps? or just classifieds update?

well to properly answer you we need correct information from you. How about you post a url to your classifieds so we can correctly answer.

You posted that your classifieds is not integrated with your forum. If thats the case you need to do what I state above as well as run any upgrades for classifieds.

If your classifieds is integrated with your forum then all you do is an upgrade.

Import of phrases is what is missing you should be fine now

I edit the file config-inc.php

// This needs to be set to the name of the directory used inside of the languages directory
$pplang = "spanish";

to

// This needs to be set to the name of the directory used inside of the languages directory
$pplang = "english";

What do you mean by leave all the default phrases?

If you want a spanish language in classifieds you first need to create the spanish language under add language in admin. You then set your language to spanish in config and then in admin you can edit phrases and change the english ones we clone to spanish phrases.
