VB integration

I was able to turn my integration on, but I don't seem to be able to turn it off! I would like to not use my forum header and styles...

what do you mean you can not turn it off?

are permissions set on the config files to writable.

You can always hand edit the config-intc.php file and turn off the 3 vb3 define boxes.

When I click any of the three vB3 or vB4 INTEGRATION boxes, they will not change. I have even changed the config-intc.php to 777.

And changed the Use Integrated forum stylesheets back and forth.

puzzled?

I can edit the config-intc.php to no, but it doesn't bring back the photopost header.

bring back the photopost header?

I think there is more here your adding. Not all server configs allow you to edit files through software so if thats the case on yours then any config file changes you will need to do through ftp access.

as far as photopost standalone headers you define what files you want to use under admin global options.

Thanks, I got the header figured out.

I still want to use the vb4 registration, and it seems to be, but it is not remembering the log in from the bb. What should I look at?

Thanks

I have now read that and played with it. I had the path set as / and the prefix bb on both programs. I changed the domain to .carscene.ca on both programs, logged out and in but it didn't seem to work. I will read it again in the morning.

Thanks

if your cookies are set like this

path /
prefix bb
domain .carscene.ca

Things should work fine. You want to clear your browser cookies after any change and also your vb license number not customer number has to be entered correctly under your config settings.

It seems that I must use the Vbulletin Headers in order to enable using the Vb registration usage. If the headers are not on, the cookies are not vb registration is not used.

I think the previous version allowed me to only use the vb registration without the headers and footers.

Thanks

If your cookies are set correctly in photopost admin under cookie and config variables right the vb cookie will be used regardless of headers on or off.

I would think your cookies are not aligned personally.

I do believe I am running the settings correctly.

I think there may be another problem which may be related, but I don't know why.

When dealing with:
Do you want to enable the vB3 or vB4 Integration which uses your vB3 or vB4 headers, footers and styles?

When useing the Photopost Classifieds Administration, it seems willing to turn the VB4 INTEGRATION file on, but will not turn them off

I can edit the config-intc.php successfully if I do it on my computor and upload it or though the interface on my cute ftp.

This seems to be the only switch that is being affected! All the rest in the config-intc.php seem to change with the Photopost interface as requested. I have even tried increasing the permissions to 777.

Sorry to be a pain, and Thanks

That just seems that your server permissions are not allowing you to change any files on the server. can you edit anything from admin templates stylesheets etc etc? That is all permissions are correct on the actual files but they still do not save that is server related.

I use the photopost interface and change the url to my forums.
It seems to stick after reloading.

I check it through the cute interface and it shows as unchanged in config-intc.php. I download it and have a look, it is unchanged.

I wonder, should I uninstall and reinstall the classifieds to try and clear this up?

Thanks

No this has nothing to do with the program. Your server is stopping you from changing files via scripts. You can only do it by hand. I have seen this on a few servers. I am of course responding based on you telling me permissions on the config files are 666 or 777.

Of those three functions in the integration the top one will turn on and write to the file when turned on. When turned off, it will not right to the file. Niether fo the other two switches function in either direction. The file is set to 777. It is curious? I can live with it.

I am still unable to remove the headers without loosing the log in information. I suppose I can just run the VB headers and work with them.

Thanks

well I can take a look at why the login does not work with the headers off if you wish otherwise with the headers on works for you thats fine.

To load a login we look for a cookie so as long as cookies are write things would work fine without the vb header at least thats what it should. I turned off my headers in vb and was logged in.
