Upgrade not complete

Hey guys,
I upgraded as the instructions suggested. When I got to the part about importing phrases I got an error that the SQL table 1 was wrong or something like that. I have looked and that error is listed here serveral times. I read Chuck's guidance that it might have to do with no prefix and I checked and my prefix is set to CC_ not pp_

In the end I am trying to get my system where I can run run the sendnotice.php but I don't have the options to set cron. I think I am halfway between installs and not sure where to go.... My files show I have upgraded but the features arent there...

HELP

Right, this is where I'm failing too - at phrases. My prefix is cp_ fwiw.

Of course, it would be nice if you had an actual error instead of "SQL table 1 was wrong or something like that".

If you try to run phrases.php again which you should NOT NEED TO when your doing an upgrade you will get a duplicate error that your language already exists. That really is not an error.

The upgrade documentation notes to upgrade you run the 4.01 to 4.1 upgrade portion.

So Chuck, here are the instructions I followed.....

IMPORTANT - DO NOT SKIP

. Backup your database before doing this upgrade.
. Ensure you upload all the directories (except uploads, which is just a directory to
seperate upgrade scripts, but which files need to be uploaded to the main PhotoPost directory.

UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS

0) Download and unzip the latest build from the Members Area.

1) Check for new config-inc.php variables, some recent additions are:

$cookie_domain has been added for website cookies. I highly recommend setting this to ".youdomain.com" where yourdomain is the name of your domain. This will enable cookies to be read across your website regardless of the URL (i.e. galley.website.com and forums.website.com). If you are using a forum integration you must have this set in both your forums and photopost.
$vblicense is for vB3 users and is required to encrypt your passwords. Without it you will not be able to login to VB3.

2) Upload all files - except config-inc.php, unless you modified it from the ZIP file - to
your server. You do not need install.php for an upgrade.

3) Depending on which upgrades you need, you should upload all these files to the MAIN PHOTOPOST CLASSIFIEDS DIRECTORY (or, for advanced user,
upload only those scripts you need to execute).

4) Run upgrade.php and depending on your version, run any necessary upgrades.

5) When done with upgrades, remove the upgrade*.* files which you uploaded from this directory.

6) You are done!

Please read the CHANGELOG.TXT FILE so you know what to expect from version upgrades.

You tell me what I did wrong, the instructions in the upgrade informed me to go do the phrases again....

Regardless....

Whats the scoop with not being able to see the cron setup options?

Error performing MySQL command: INSERT INTO cp_languages VALUES (1, 'english', 'en', 'UTF-8', 'ltr');
Error: Duplicate entry '1' for key 1
The only problem I see is you tried running the phrases script again and no where in the upgrade documentation does it tell you to run the phrases script. Here is the same announcement thats in the documentation

PhotoPost Classifieds 4.1 Released 09-13-2010

so there isnt an issue really you just ran the phrases again. its not a big deal as its not going to harm your system. That one duplicate error only is telling your your language of english already exists.

I guess I should never have jumped into this thread because now we seem to be heading in different directions. But unless I'm mistaken, this phrases thing is arising from a bug where that cron number 30 doesn't have the proper phrase to describe it. Chuck, you told me/us to run phrases again to try to fix it. But we can't run phrases again.

Now, if Busa wants to describe his problems in better detail, and if they aren't the same as mine, I will gladly butt out of this thread.

Okay and indeed if you run your phrases.php it should fix that issue you had provided you have ran the new phrases.php file not your same old one from before.

Yes posting in other peoples threads can be confusing

Okay okay so the phrases error apparently is nothing to worry about... Now where do I find this screen?

what you need to do about the phrases is what I posted way above. You need to make sure you upload the current phrases.php file and run phrases.php to reimport your phrases.

Your listing like an old 8month old bug that existed with 4.0

Fair enough, I guess Chuck when I downloaded the newest version from the members download Friday night that all the known bugs would have been cleared from there... So what your telling me is that the upgrade that I paid for on the last upgrade wasn't done completely so now I need to fix an 8 month old problem because I just purchased and downloaded the NEWEST version you have available...

Got it...

Thanks

This bug that your saying has been fixed for some time I beleive the only way your going to get multiple times would have been on a prior upgrade and using older files if you reran phrases.php it will delete and replace all english phrases. Definately quite common that I see old files on peoples servers. If rerunning the phrases file from our current download does not work feel free to send me a note via the contact us link in the header.
