| Profile & Ad Errors
When I select "Profile" on my user, I get the following error: Quote:
Not Found
The requested URL /classifieds/m11760-faol.html was not found on this server.
| When I select the listing, which shows in the main Classfieds page, I get the following error: Quote:
Not Found
The requested URL /classifieds/miscellaneous/p1.html was not found on this server.
| When I FTP to the server, the file structure and referenced files are indeed not there. How do I fix this issue? Is there a setting missing somewhere, a file to modify, or ??
Thanks.

OK, I figured out that I had to set the search engine preference to NONE, instead of SEO. So that is taken care of.
The problem now is that no one can pull down the Product Options menu, when looking at an item. I can list items and users can list items, but no one can edit, nor buy an item. I am assuming that the Buy/Bid ability would be under Product Options? I would think there would be a button, but if so, it isn't there.
Thanks.

As for the drop-down Product Options menu, I selected "no" for the "ppmenu" option in the Admin CP, and the options went to the post itself. That is acceptable for now, but I would still like to know how to get the menu that works like the rest of my board.
I still cannot find a way to show the Bid or Buy buttons in the ads. All other buttons and icons show up in the ad, just not the Bid or Buy buttons.
Also, the email for my PayPal is gone whenever I try to edit an ad.

You can no one can pull down the menu. You sure in vb admin options your allowing drop down menus.

The drop-down menus work for the vBulletin software, just not Classifieds. The problem with the showproduct is not images vs text, the problem is the drop-down menu not showing, and not having the option to Buy a product.

If you want me to look at the menu you need to actually be using that dropdown. My initial response would be to make sure you disable any vb hacks and see if the dropdown works.

Can we leave the drop-down menu issue alone for now? I really do not care about the drop-down menu at this time.
The REAL issue is that I have no BID or BUY buttons in my new SELLING software. That is a bigger issue. Without those buttons, I paid good money for nothing more than pictures with descriptions.

1. In your edit categories in admin you must allow bidding in the categories you wish. Now as far as having an auction not an ad the seller posting the ad must mark to allow bidding when he uploads his ad.
2. Same thing really about the buy it link. The seller posting the ad must fill out all the pertinent info on uploadproduct to allow buy it. If they do that then you will see a buy it link.

I started the forum, have superadmin rights, and I do not get it.
Again, the main focus is on the issue of folks not being able to bid or buy a product. The other issues DO NOT matter, if the primary function of the software does not work.
Thanks.

I am really not sure what you do not understand. When you place an ad all the info to answer to allow bidding and buy and prices etc is all asked for on the page. I did this and you can clearly see you can bid on that auction and buy it if you wish.

You can create the ad, but no bidding is an option. I verified the same group memberships, and that our ads were selected the same as yours. Nada.

OK, I know what the problem was. I had to list the price in the Asking Price block, as well as the Buy It Now block. So, it takes TWO entries to have the price show in the listing, and the Buy button to appear.

I created auction and you could bid on it. all I did was correctly select the proper option to allow bidding on upload of the ad.

Yes, you did. BUT, I didn't want an auction. All of those items that were listed, were to buy like a classifieds, not an auction. That may not have been clear on my part. Thanks.

well then maybe there is some confusion on your part what is what.
A regular ad is just that a regular ad you do not bid on anything.
If a user allows budding then it is an auction.
That is just how things are different. You bid on auctions.

Thanks. I am familiar with the concept. I just didn't know that Buy It Now required two entries during the ad creation. I will just have to make sure that members know that, since it isn't annotated in the Upload process.

You have a hard time letting things go, don't you? I thanked you twice and admitted that I made a mistake. While you may not be able to see it, there are multiple variables that must be dealt with, to make a single listing.
This mistake should be understandable considering I am a new user to this software, NOT the developer, and there is no user manual, nor FAQ. You need to work on your customer service skills. You are in business, because we do not know what you know.
Have a nice day.

I responded because you said that we do not clearly note the the buyit options on the upload process. Those are your own words. That clearly indicates to me to ask why you think so.
At any rate have a nice day.
