unrecoverable error at stage 4 of install for vb4 trying to install on a vbulletin v4.03 site brand new site Keeping vbulletin tables and photopost within same database but using a prefix for photopost works fine up until stage 4, i select VB4 as the external user system, enter in my cookie prefix etc click to go to next page and get error of We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later. the tables have been created within the database. HELP :( |
Have you entered the correct vb database info on the config and the correct table prefix on step 4. I mean the next database thing is the grabbing of the vb usergroup info. |
i think so Chuck as the tables for classifieds have been created and it is the same database for both forum and classifieds except the classifieds is using a table prefix |
I would have to see your site because my test site is a vb4 classifieds setup Main Index - PhotoPost Classifieds |
its a dev site so don't want to post url in public forums, how do i get the url to you ? |
You would use the contact us link in our header |
email sent with url |
thanks I will check it out |
any ideas ? |
I sent you a reply. |
As posted in my initial post in this thread you did not put the correct table prefix for your vb tables which was vb where asked on step 4 thats why you got the unrecoverable error because we could not grab your vb info. |
2 Attachment(s) damn, first vbulletin install and so was looking for a prefix in the format of vb_ sorry for wasteing your time. I have another issue now though. The integrated VB4 header is being mangled when inside classifieds, see images below, the search input field and button should be at the far right (as per vb site) but they are being pushed down below the rest of the navbar on the left ? |
I would suspect you have a stylevar named search in your custom vb style which is going to conflict with our rewrite code for the forum search You would need to rename your style class in the css to say find not search and in the header change the class call from search to find if you follow |
I'm getting the same error on my site, but my forum doesn't have any table prefixes. It's IPB3: Forumul ciclism.ro |
This thread has nothing to do with invisionboard in any manner Your link does not appear to be to our product so not sure what your issue is |
