Unable to Install

I am running vB 4.0.3. I successfully installed vBGallery 3.0 Beta 2. I have loaded all of the PhotoPost Classifieds v4.02 files to my server, at least I think I did. Lines 14-15 of config-inc.php say:

Content visible to verified customers only.

At any rate, I get the following error after Step 2 of the installation process:

Here are the settings I have entered in Step 1:

Path to PhotoPost Classifieds Installation: /home/my web site/public_html/classifieds

PhotoPost Classifieds Database Host: localhost
PhotoPost Classifieds Database Name: database name
PhotoPost Classifieds Database User: database user name
PhotoPost Classifieds Database Password: database user password
PhotoPost Classifieds Database Prefix: cp_

User Database Host: localhost
User Database Name: same as above
User Database User: same as above
User Database Password: : same as above
VB3 License Number: My vB4 license number

Did I get the right version? Why so many references to older versions of vBulletin and PhotoPost Classifieds? Are my settings correct? Is localhost correct?

The error your posting explicitly tells me that something is wrong with the database information provided in your setup that is not correct

The problem was that PhotoPost Classifieds didn't approve of the dollar sign in my database password.
