| "Sort by" and "Per Page" selections not working
We upgraded to 4.01 a week ago and I just realized I can't change the way it sorts or the number of ads per page. For example, if I want it to sort by Most recent I click the dropdown but nothing changes. If I want it to display 16 ads per page instead of 12 I click it but it stays the same.
Can you tell me how to fix that? Thanks.

This is from upgrade.php starting at line 1374 Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
This is what the table looks like.
Do you know what else make the sorting not work when you change the dropdown?
Thanks,
Carol

Thanks. It may help to remember I was supposed to run the update from 3.0 to current, but mistakenly ran it from 3.1 to current. Then I had to go back and run the 3.0 update after the fact and out of order...

Interesting are you sure you have all the new files uploaded? Your HTACCESS file has been renamed to .htaccess?
You can try it on my site but appears to work fine

Ah, you are right. HTACCESS is still all capital letters.
Should I simply rename it to .htaccess or is there something I should do first?

OK, I tried it, but the sorting still isn't working. Thanks for the idea, though, I really hoped that was it.
I'm changing it back to HTACCESS since that's how it was in the download. If you want it to remain .htaccess please let me know.
Thanks,
Carol

have you tried clearing cookies in your browser? all that stuff is handled by cookies and I can not stress enough you need to be using all the new files. Your site should behave as mine does.

I went back to the 4.01 download and pulled out everything I did not need or did not want to upload/overwrite: - vb3enhanced
- vb4enhanced
- config-inc.phpNEW
- config-intc.phpNEW
- darkblue-borders (already edited)
- install
- upgrade
- zipData1.sql (to save time)
- zipData2.sql
- zipData3.sql
- zipData4.sql
Then I reuploaded the remainder (678 files) overwriting what was there, just to be sure I had not overlooked something the first time. It does not seem to have changed anything, still can't sort.
On the cookies, I've deleted them on this computer many times (Windows 7/IE8) and did again tonight but it didn't help, but this computer has some quirks. However, I can't get the classifieds to sort on the computer at the public library either (Windows XP).
Thanks again.
Carol
