There is an upgrade script to run with this update.
I noticed the build in the members section now say 3/22/10, what changed as it still say 4.01? Anything?
Nothing that I am aware of.
Hi Chuck. Just wanna make sure, do I download and run the upgrade script or replace relevant files with the new ones? Thanks...
If your running 4.0 sure you only upload the files noted.
Just done the upload, Thanks. Just one issue I need help with though.
- when clicking on the help buttons I get this error message.
500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
What might be the problem?
hmm well what is the url or file they are looking for?
Error message: http://www.homebroe.net/ppclassified...oadproduct.php
You can login as chuck and pw is the same. This is where you click on the help and then the error message: Login - HomeBroe Classifieds, same appears for all help files. Thanks Chuck and Happy Easter...
Have you uploaded your help directory?
The urls to the help files are correct. make sure those files exist and are 644 permissions.
Yes, help directory uploaded - 777
All files are 644 in there
try making the directory help 755 it should not be 777.
This is what I see when I go to say my help file directly
Now when you use the link in the program all it does is load it in a java window. Your issue is with access to the file so I would think its because permissions are incorrect on the directory.
Ugh Chuck, you saved the day again... Just a bit concerned with the other directories also set 777 though. Should I set them to 755 as well?
The only directories suppose to be 777 are the data and uploads directories. Every other directory are suppose to be normal 755
Thanks allot Chuck. Have a great one...
Yes enjoy the holiday or spring break or both ;)
I've never upgraded before. Where do I download it?
In your members area with the login information sent to you when you ordered your license. The members area link is in the header of this site.
Is there a set of instructions or do I upload only the changed files?
upgrade instructions and full changed files etc are in the documentation folder of the downloaded code.
Just for clarity before I start a fresh install and copying v.4.01 files to our vbulletin server. ;)
If our vBulletin 4 files are all under /acme, then I assume we simply create a directory under that called /acme/pp-classifieds ...
Then we copy ALL the files (and structure) under the unzipped pp-classifieds401 directly into /acme/pp-classifieds, then run install.php?
Thanks ... :)
