I just installed classifieds 3.21.
problem is when i try to go to it, all i get is the header repeating until i get a php stack overflow.
location here : Message - PhotoPost Classifieds
i tried changing paths, setting, even tried setting up as stand-alone, i always get the same thing.
running on win2003 server with php5 and VB3.8
any ideas?
Thanks

That looks like an old error with the iponline table being corrupt for some reason.
If you issue this query in phpmyadmin does the error stop
REPAIR TABLE cp_iponline;

Maybe your mysql is in STRICT MODE? try setting it to traditional compliance not strict mode. MYSQL errors in Fresh install on localhost |

it was the strict mode on mysql...
i wiped tables, copied over 4 gold, and installed like new.
it is working great other than the usergroups thing stated above.

well feel free to post a test user login here for us to see if we see anything
I am not sure what you mean about usergroups being 0
You need to go in after installing as admin and set usergroup permissions under admin edit usergroups

usergroups being 0
when a person first goes to the classifieds from VB, i can go into phpmyadmin and look in the cp-user table and the only thing it will have in it is usergroup = 0 and their name...
so it seems that no user info is being "grabbed" and put into the database.
do you need admin rights for a login? or just a regular user?

That doesnt matter in the very least we dont use the cp_users table for any type of login info when its not a standalone install.
Your user stuff is grabbed from vb.
As I stated as an admin user you need to set permissions in admin edit usergroups
If your logged in and both applications recognise you then it should be installed fine you just as admin have not set the permissions for usergroups.
