Cookies problem - people being logged out

Myself and my users are having problems staying logged in, when they close the browser and go back to the site it asks them to re login even though remember me is enabled. This has been happening only since installing the classifieds.

vB 3.8x cookies settings:

Save to path cookies = "/"
Cookies Domain = (Blank)

Photopost classifieds settings are:

PhotoPost Classifieds Cookie Path = "/"
Forum Cookie Prefix = "bb"
PhotoPost Classifieds Cookie Domain = .myspain.es

Paths

/classifieds/ = classifieds
/forum/ = vb 3.8.x

Any urgent help would be greatly appreciated as I've got a backlash on my hands

The forum admincp says to leave the domain if possible so I changed the classifieds to blank.

Cleared the cookie and it seems to be working so far!

Now I've got to work out a way of forcing a new cookie on users to it clears the old one. Any ideas?

well you always want to clear cookies but what I can tell you is if your cookies are the same you will be fine. You should always set your cookies like .myspain.es so its readable over every possible subdomain on your site.

People only have cookie issues when they dont set there cookies to be the same in both applications. Maybe because they login at say myspain.es/forum and then go to Main Index - My Spain Classifieds and they arent logged in. Thats because thats a different domain name

Hope that helps.
